Delegation

Delegation

When your team becomes your family. ❤

It’s been such an interesting ride in building a virtual business these past 6 years. I remember when the thought of working with a coach or subcontractor that I’d never met before felt so foreign, or temporary.

Looking back I realize that due to the way I originally learned that business was “supposed” to be, that is where those beliefs came from.

“Good help is hard to find”
“Finding someone who is reliable is almost impossible”
“Sometimes you just need to find a warm body to fill the chair”

These are all things that I’m sure we’ve all heard a time or two when working in a management position or owning a business. These are things that we believe to be true because, well that’s what everyone says is true. Continue reading “Delegation”

Time…

Time…

Time is something I’ve made a living out of “creating” more of. Or actually just showing people how changing their mindset and purpose behind things can seemingly create more time in their worlds for the things that they actually want to do. It’s almost like bending reality, but it’s really just a matter of changing the foundation of how you’re operating first.

But here’s the thing… Me and time, we’ve not ever really been friends…until recently. And still now I’m just warming up to the thought of it. More like I’m just accepting the fact that I cannot control it and it is a necessary piece of how all things happen or play out in our worlds. Basically, I used to almost throw a mini temper tantrum in my mind when time wasn’t on my side and demand information now, demand to see the end of the book now, and if I couldn’t (which was always the case) I would get really stubborn and apply pressure until I “thought” I was getting something to happen. You see, this didn’t always turn out badly but it was also using a lot of energy that I didn’t realize at the time was truly meant for bigger and better things. And since I’ve realized that you should measure your energy the same so you do your time, or at least take both into consideration. Continue reading “Time…”

Value Your Time

Value Your Time

“A lack of planning on your part doesn’t constitute an emergency on mine.”

^This was one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned over the years.

In my world, everything is intentional. I’m extremely “buttoned up” by nature. That doesn’t mean things are perfect, because they’re not. But it does mean that whatever is on my plate is always being handled and it’s always clear.

That’s always been a natural thing for me. But I used to let other people cause me to panic. Or question that. A lot.

The Value of Time

The Value of Time

I’m not a Mom to human babies so sometimes women are quick to tell me “You can’t help me fix my schedule, you just don’t understand”.

And they are right, I do not have 2 legged children who can walk and talk and that I have to take with me everywhere I go BUT I’ve honestly NEVER tried to act like I understand OR like I can fully relate. I would never insinuate that.

But what I DO know, is that I understand valuing your time, using time blocks, preparing for shit to hit the fan, planning your “to-do” list around nap times and the potential for a toddler meltdown.

Time management is time management and chaos is chaos. But it comes down to way more than the ability to make a fancy plan and stick to it.

It comes down to your state of mind.

Connection Doesn’t Know Time

Connection Doesn’t Know Time

Connection doesn’t know time.

Experience doesn’t recognize time. Your soul doesn’t care about time. It connects when it’s meant to connect. It loves when it’s meant to love. It draws you to an experience because it needs it.

Your soul knows what you need better than you ever will. Trust in that.

Don’t let time or lack thereof allow you to belittle a feeling, a connection, or an experience. Don’t underestimate the impact that one single moment can have on you. Continue reading “Connection Doesn’t Know Time”
