Whole Picture

Whole Picture

What if I told you I can give you ass pats and high fives AND hold you to a high standard of accountability?

Did you know that both of these things are possible to give and/or receive within the same conversation?

Crazy right?

Seasonal Purge

Seasonal Purge

I don’t know about you but lately I’ve been feeling almost like my “things” are all caving in on me.

I don’t really think that I’ve actually acquired that much new stuff since the last time I went through and purged to create more space but somehow, it does feel that way.

No Explanation

No Explanation

Recently a client brought up a thing that I had said a couple of years ago when I was making a large life choice that made everyone in my world VERY uncomfortable…. “I don’t owe anyone an explanation other than-‘Because I want to’“.

It took me back into the space I was in when I learned that lesson for the first time.

Delegation

Delegation

When your team becomes your family. ❤

It’s been such an interesting ride in building a virtual business these past 6 years. I remember when the thought of working with a coach or subcontractor that I’d never met before felt so foreign, or temporary.

Looking back I realize that due to the way I originally learned that business was “supposed” to be, that is where those beliefs came from.

“Good help is hard to find”
“Finding someone who is reliable is almost impossible”
“Sometimes you just need to find a warm body to fill the chair”

These are all things that I’m sure we’ve all heard a time or two when working in a management position or owning a business. These are things that we believe to be true because, well that’s what everyone says is true. Continue reading “Delegation”

Real Security

Real Security

Security. What does it really mean to you? Have you ever thought about it? Where does it come from? How do we create it? Or can we truly ever have it?

There are a lot of questions posed by this word that many have never taken the time to think about before.

Sometimes we go through life grasping for things that make us feel just a little safer or we create defense mechanisms that we think give us security. Is that kind of safety and security actually a ruse?

This topic was brought up to me recently in terms of what I help people build in the form of a solid foundation within themselves and their businesses. And man, was it a cool moment on seeing another layer to this practice. Continue reading “Real Security”

What You Track

What You Track

We all seem to want more of something… but maybe it feels like an empty desire. One that’s fun to say but doesn’t seem at all like it could ever be a reality. OR maybe it feels sad or discouraging because nothing ever seems to work out right.

There’s never enough money or time or progress… What if I told you that you could flip that narrative and start actually getting more?

Well– what you track… grows.

Journaling

Journaling

Have you ever wondered how a journal can be so valuable? How a pen and paper can be something that some put on such a high pedestal that it is proclaimed as one of their most valuable tools?

Let’s flash back in time… this method has been being used by brilliant minds for as long as humans have been able to write. Documenting your thoughts, writing out your feelings, discovering new things about yourself or something you’re pondering by writing it down has provided us some of the best pieces of literature or education we have.

It can all start with a journal.

One of the most popular questions I’m asked is how to properly journal in a way that helps you.

Everyone says they don’t know what to write or feel silly so I decided to create not only a guide to why journaling works and how you can remove all of the stigmas around how it’s “supposed” to work so it can work for you but I also created a guide of prompts that you can download and use to help you when you’re feeling stuck.

The guide is provided in audio form, linked below. In the episode I break down what journaling really is, things to know, how to make time for it, and how you can make it best work for you.  I also created a free downloadable list of ideas for you to use to start your own journaling journey.

The prompts can be easily downloaded onto your phone or laptop to access anytime you’d like.

I’m excited to share my favorite tool with you in a different and more detailed way than ever before. I hope you love it!  Happy writing!!

Let’s start a discussion here; Is journaling a tool that you’re already using in your life? What is your favorite way to use it?

Wednesdays

Wednesdays

“On Wednesdays we wear pink!”

No, I’m just kidding… Well, maybe sometimes I do but that’s not my point. While I was creating my latest podcast episode I just kept saying that in my head the entire time, haha. Insert your favorite Mean Girls quote here! Continue reading “Wednesdays”

Be The Change

Be The Change

There is a ripple effect that we all have the ability to play a part in, if we choose to see it.

It’s not overwhelming. It’s not a big huge task oriented thing. It’s an agreement you make with you. And then keep making every day.

I’ve always believed in the statement “Be the change you wish to see in the world”. I believe that leading by example is the best and most effective way to lead. I believe that that committing to live of integrity is the way to impacting your our life and that of others. And I believe that we must learn to control what we can control.

Your Lens

Your Lens

Sometimes even when the reality isn’t really all that rosy we continue, out of pure subconscious comfortability to only see things through our trusty rose-colored glasses.

The truth is, most of us were given those glasses at a really young age and they’ve become something we’ve carried in our pockets ever since. We put them on every time our experience was the only one that was comfortable to see and over the years they’ve become something that we depend on, unbeknownst to us.
