Romance Your Creativity

Romance Your Creativity

“Romance your creativity”. I remember the first time I heard this concept several years ago. I was reading Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert for the first time (yes, I’ve read/listened to that book well over 30 times. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend you do) and I realized I had been doing that without really knowing it.

I would light a candle, put on the right music, and sit down with a great cup of coffee. The vibe was right and I’d totally get into the zone. I even did this when I was in my 9-5 when I really needed to concentrate in on a project.

Remember Who You Are

Remember Who You Are

Remember who you are.

Without your age, the number on the scale, your report card, or your bank account.

Without the amount of friends you have, or expensive things you own.

Know who you are; your truest, most raw self.

When you start to doubt or worry, remember who you are at your core.

All of those other thoughts are in your head, fueled by your ego.

When you check in and get in touch with who you are at your core, you’re checking in with your heart center, with your gut, with your inner self.

And once you tune into that channel, make it a habit to do it frequently and stay in touch because that’s the purest part of your existence and the piece that will always lead you to your truest callings.

PROJECT MANAGING YOUR HEALTH

PROJECT MANAGING YOUR HEALTH

I’m not sure if it’s because we’ve recently had several serious scares with my mom’s health or if I’m attracting more of these kinds of conversations but lately I’ve noticed something among so many people I’ve encountered and it’s quite honestly pissing me off.

Here’s why; Your health isn’t something to fuck around with.

You only get one body. That’s it. There’s no redo. There’s no turning it in for a new model. And while yes, this country especially has been feeding the masses full of false information about health for decades, it’s the age of information and you have all the data you need to turn your health around at your fingertips.

Yes, doctors can be involved, and they can guide you, BUT YOU HAVE CONTROL AS WELL. You have control over the most important parts. Continue reading “PROJECT MANAGING YOUR HEALTH”

Sharing My Progress

Sharing My Progress

These days, I share a lot more of my progress and fitness over on Instagram than here but I wanted to share here as a reminder that you do have the time and your excuses are bullshit.

Trust me.

Eating isn’t a pleasure for me, it’s a chore. 3000 calories a day, clean isn’t fun.

Drinking over a gallon of water is annoying.

Why Struggle If You Don’t Have To Struggle?

Why Struggle If You Don’t Have To Struggle?

I had a client come to me about 6 months ago looking for some balance. She wasn’t happy with the way her life was running. She was running her own business but didn’t feel like it was enough and in turn, the rest of her life was suffering as well.

Her mindset was off. She thought she was barely getting by. She had convinced herself that she didn’t have enough time or money to join a gym, that there was no way she could carve out any more time to spend with her kids, and that this chaos she was experiencing had to be the only way to have “all of this”.

(That’s the funny part…we kill ourselves to be “successful” but aren’t happy…so really, what’s the point?)

She also had this burning idea of how she could help other professionals in her industry to create more income through teaching them what she had done in her business…she just had no idea how to actually make that happen, so she came to me wanting help with it all. Top Lessons I Learned in 2017

Top Lessons I Learned in 2017

For those of you who have been following me for a while… You know that I’m constantly doing things. I made the commitment a couple years ago to dive head first into this entrepreneurial world. It’s been enlightening. It’s been scary. It’s been the textbook definition of a roller coaster ride. I am so grateful in many ways, and I’m so grateful for all of you. You’ve watched me continue to expand this journey. It just means the freaking world to me. It’s honestly an honor to have you in my space, and in my world.

There’s a lot of lessons from 2017… I’m a firm believer that if you’re not feeling uncomfortable, and making mistakes, and learning lessons then you’re not growing. That means you’re standing still. That’s not a good place to be, right? At least not for me. I’ll go crazy.

The Value of Time

The Value of Time

I’m not a Mom to human babies so sometimes women are quick to tell me “You can’t help me fix my schedule, you just don’t understand”.

And they are right, I do not have 2 legged children who can walk and talk and that I have to take with me everywhere I go BUT I’ve honestly NEVER tried to act like I understand OR like I can fully relate. I would never insinuate that.

But what I DO know, is that I understand valuing your time, using time blocks, preparing for shit to hit the fan, planning your “to-do” list around nap times and the potential for a toddler meltdown.

Time management is time management and chaos is chaos. But it comes down to way more than the ability to make a fancy plan and stick to it.

It comes down to your state of mind.

People Love Drama

People Love Drama

PEOPLE LOVE DRAMA. Chances are, you’re creating your own right now.

Here’s the deal… our brain is pretty amazing. It has a way of knowing what we need and when we need it. We obviously CAN choose to follow instinct or make a different choice. But instinctually, our brain, our subconscious to be more precise, will follow the path of least resistance. Continue reading “People Love Drama”
