More and more frequently I’ve found myself in conversations with various people from all different walks of life about things they’re noticing make them feel overly drained or zoned out.
One of my friends said “I always feel like I’m more dumb and a zombie after scrolling”.
I went on to explain to her how normal that actually is (these days at least) and how it’s actually a massive exchange of energy that’s happening that we’re really not recognizing, therefore not making different choices OR giving that action the space it deserves without draining the life out of you.

Have you ever wondered how a journal can be so valuable? How a pen and paper can be something that some put on such a high pedestal that it is proclaimed as one of their most valuable tools?
Let’s flash back in time… this method has been being used by brilliant minds for as long as humans have been able to write. Documenting your thoughts, writing out your feelings, discovering new things about yourself or something you’re pondering by writing it down has provided us some of the best pieces of literature or education we have.
It can all start with a journal.

Listen, some days are going to be… trying to say the least.
Some days you’ll have a constant conversation with yourself in your head about what is a story and what is the truth.
Because your mind will try to play tricks on you. It will bring up any old past shit that it thinks “might” explain a situation in order to try and “protect” you but it’s up to you to be self-aware enough to look that shit in the face and decipher if its fact or fiction.
Sometimes those subconscious things really are legit and a great device to point out things that need your attention… But sometimes they are totally off. In fact, a lot of times they are based on things that have nothing at all to do with the current situation and are 100% a fabricated story inside of your head.
