You Are Not An Island

You Are Not An Island

Sometimes I feel like things are just swirling around me. Like there’s no place for it to land. Like there is always a judgement or agendas attached to it all. Or more like I’m combating that and working to debunk them all as they arise.

You may have heard me mention this before but something I am insanely proud of is the level of self awareness I have cultivated over the years. In that I’m able to acknowledge things so much quicker than ever before and It allows me to process through things almost in real time versus having the “aftermath”.

Want Unlimited Inspiration?

Want Unlimited Inspiration?

Be your own motivation.

I feel like it’s far too rare that we acknowledge our own successes, our own strengths, our own magic, our own glow, our own beauty, our own purpose.

We look outside of ourselves for too much. We’re always searching for answers, for motivation, for inspiration, for approval and I’m not saying that’s always a bad thing but what I am saying is that it seems that most generally, people only do that. They always are searching outside.

You know where I learned the truest of true magic and value and answers lie?

Inside of me.

Reflection

Reflection

Something I do every day like clock work is look at my history. The memories on Facebook are cool and I like to see them and be motivated by my own previous content but man, my history on Snapchat stories is where it’s at.

Frazzled

Frazzled

We all get frazzled sometimes, overwhelmed.

Sometimes all of those plates you have spinning in the air can feel pretty damn daunting. And sometimes the responsibility of all of that and your purpose can feel heavy.

THAT’S OKAY.

You’re human.
Humans have feelings.
Humans get overwhelmed from time to time.

Trust me, coming from a girl who used to operate like a robot in a lot of ways and just avoid the feelings… it’s not worth it. It will always always always catch up with you at some point in one way or another. Continue reading “Frazzled”

Impact

Impact

“If I wouldn’t have hired you when I did, I probably wouldn’t still be alive”.

I will never forget the feeling of hearing that statement from one of my clients. It knocked me back in my seat. I remember crying when we got off the phone because of the impact he made on me during that conversation.

I didn’t know he was close to giving up on living when we started our work together.

I knew he had goals, he needed structure and we had a lot of mindset work to do, but I didn’t know suicidal thoughts were at play. During the first few months of working with a new client, we spend a lot of time going deep, like really deep into the dark shadows of self. We uncover fears and limiting patterns, unhealthy habits and space that needs room to breathe. Sometimes those are just around performance, professional growth, communication, self-worth, rebelling against structure, lacking a plan, etc. Continue reading “Impact”

Actively Changing Hearts & Minds

Actively Changing Hearts & Minds

A woman who is actively changing hearts and minds.

That sounds much better than “influencer” if you ask me.

When I first was put in a position to be able to be heard, I took it seriously. When I first realized that I could teach and help people learn a position or approach something differently, I took it seriously.

It all started in other peoples businesses. It started with training people for support positions, creating processes that served the organization as a whole and then empowering people to take responsibility for their own actions and the roles they were playing. The Ripple Effect

The Ripple Effect

How often do you think about the ripple effect?

The ripple effect that comes from every interaction you have throughout your day. The ripple effect of every move, every word, every smile, every internal thought.

The impact that you are making within yourself and the world that surrounds you is way larger than you realize. Continue reading “The Ripple Effect”

My Tattoo

My Tattoo

I was worried all day. I planned as much as I could because I thought that might help.

It didn’t.

I puke all of my guts up in the car before we even go in.

I was going to pass out. I knew it. Continue reading “My Tattoo”
