Have you ever wondered how a journal can be so valuable? How a pen and paper can be something that some put on such a high pedestal that it is proclaimed as one of their most valuable tools?
Let’s flash back in time… this method has been being used by brilliant minds for as long as humans have been able to write. Documenting your thoughts, writing out your feelings, discovering new things about yourself or something you’re pondering by writing it down has provided us some of the best pieces of literature or education we have.
It can all start with a journal.
One of the most popular questions I’m asked is how to properly journal in a way that helps you.
Everyone says they don’t know what to write or feel silly so I decided to create not only a guide to why journaling works and how you can remove all of the stigmas around how it’s “supposed” to work so it can work for you but I also created a guide of prompts that you can download and use to help you when you’re feeling stuck.
The guide is provided in audio form, linked below. In the episode I break down what journaling really is, things to know, how to make time for it, and how you can make it best work for you. I also created a free downloadable list of ideas for you to use to start your own journaling journey.

Accountability. It really is the key everyone is looking for.
Its just not the fake, easy, extra shiny and glittery kind you can buy off the shelf on your way out the store like blame is.
If everyone would stop trying to point fingers, blame others, or try to find some “reason” as to why something is a certain way and realize that accepting the facts of your own involvement, your own choices every moment of every day, then all that crap that you’re piling up around you as the “culprits” would diminish and you could get back to the real situation, YOU. Are you one of those people who only gets certain things for certain stores?
Because I am.
I frequent Trader Joe’s and Aldi more than anything BUT neither of them have the oats I like so I go to Dierbergs for those and for fage yogurt because I’m obsessed. AND Annie’s Burritos because also obsessed. (OH, and the local produce stand because they’re unbeatable on produce. Plus it’s the cutest place ever and makes me so happy!) Then there are items that I refuse to purchase anywhere besides Sam’s Club because the price point is just too good to pass up. I mean, I can get a massive bag of coffee beans at Sam’s for roughly the same price as a small, off brand bag at a regular grocery store and I just am not about that life.
