Secret Sauce

Secret Sauce

Everyone is looking for the secret sauce, the answer to how to get all of the things they want and usually, we want it all right this very moment, right? Oh I know, I’ve been there too.

This is something I encounter a lot in my world and unfortunately, the answer isn’t what most want to hear. There is no quick way… but the cool part of that truth is it sure does help differentiate between who’s ready to commit now and who still needs time.

In the newest episode of the Lifestyle Creation Podcast, we talk about how accepting that consistency is the key to all of the things that we want is not always a fun realization. But we do talk about how to get past that, how to start now and allow the space for shifting, tweaking, and moving as needed along the way.

If you’ve been around me for a while you already know that I always give it to you straight, even if it’s not necessarily what you want to hear. I also give you tools to help you get through it. Not around it or over it or under it, but THROUGH it, through to the other side where this thing, even if right now it’s annoying or uncomfortable or seems hard. Through to the other side were doing the things actually is your norm and a tool you know is the secret sauce that allows you to create whatever it is that you want.

Jump into this conversation with me and let’s discover how you can make this work for you…

Intoxicating Energy

Intoxicating Energy

My friend Samantha has been trying to tell me for a while now that I’m glowing, that my energy is intoxicating, and I just thought she was being sweet. I mean, I know she loves me so she has to say that, right?

Well, a few weeks ago I started hearing similar things from all kinds of different directions. From strangers, clients, acquaintances. And to be super honest, interactions that in the past may have taken more energy or I’d have to pre-protect myself from got lighter, less draining, and all around more positive.

On the cruise there were a few instances where strangers were so kind and genuine with me out of nowhere and for no reason at all that I had to revisit this comment that Sam had made. Continue reading “Intoxicating Energy”

Solid Foundation

Solid Foundation
This is why you create a solid foundation.
At least it’s a visual reminder as to why.You create a solid foundation so that when life happens and you fall off the track for a bit, everything doesn’t go to shit.

Real talk, my life took a super unexpected and interesting turn over the past 9 months… or year really. I started diving in, DEEP. Unearthing things that I had buried and didn’t acknowledge for years. I cleared so many things mentally and physically it’s almost impossible to even explain. And then I fell in love, listened to a message bigger than me and uprooted my life, moved 600 miles away, created a life there, learned, grew, tried my best, played out some karmic soul contract related shit, learned so many lessons about who I am and how fucking strong I actually am as a human, moved back, and have been hard at work rebuilding every thing I ever knew. Every social contract. Every obligation. Every deeply rooted behavior. Every automatic response. Every way of processing emotions. Every way of existing.
I have spent the past 6 months learning new and healthier ways to navigate every single area of my world. Continue reading “Solid Foundation”

Keeping the Balance

Keeping the Balance

I struggle with keeping the balance. I know it’s possible because I DO create it. I know that I operate better when I’m in a place of balance but the truth is, I must work hard at it.

You see, my instinct is to work my fingers to the bone until I can’t stand any more.

That’s what I’ve always known. I come from a world of hard working, blue collar badasses who work from sun up to sun down and don’t ever complain once because they do what they gotta do.

Consistency

Consistency

Raise your hand if you struggle with CONSISTENCY?!

Okay, you don’t have to raise your hand, I know that’s not something ANYONE wants to admit.

But here’s the thing… not being consistent IS the reason you’re not getting the results you want. Continue reading “Consistency”

Can you handle the GRIND?

Can you handle the GRIND?

While listening to a podcast this morning I had a huge realization about something. You hear people talk about the “Grind” and assume that they are talking about the 12 hours that they put in at work that day, or the fact that they pushed themselves to go to the gym even after a long hard day. That’s the context that I always used the word “Grind” in. Don’t get me wrong, it totally applies there but today I heard it used in a different aspect, one that really got me thinking….
