Delegation

Delegation

When your team becomes your family. ❤

It’s been such an interesting ride in building a virtual business these past 6 years. I remember when the thought of working with a coach or subcontractor that I’d never met before felt so foreign, or temporary.

Looking back I realize that due to the way I originally learned that business was “supposed” to be, that is where those beliefs came from.

“Good help is hard to find”
“Finding someone who is reliable is almost impossible”
“Sometimes you just need to find a warm body to fill the chair”

These are all things that I’m sure we’ve all heard a time or two when working in a management position or owning a business. These are things that we believe to be true because, well that’s what everyone says is true. Continue reading “Delegation”

One Stop Shop

One Stop Shop

Ya know what’s cool? When I can help my clients set up all of the admin, behind the scenes systems, and basically anything they need for their business to run smoothly and efficiently because I’ve done it too.

Before I had an assistant, I did it all myself. I took the webinars. I paid for trainings. I built it all myself at one point. I tweaked it along the way too so I have several options to suggest depending on what my client is looking to create.

And before I was full time building this business, I built other peoples businesses. Every department. Every level. All of the things. In the auto body industry, automotive repair, towing, event planning, landscaping construction, transportation, risk management, property damage assessment, claims management, promotional marketing… I think that covers most of it. The Business of Transforming Lives

The Business of Transforming Lives

Do you remember when we sat in that little French café and set big picture, long-term goals of what it would be like if I have 8 paying coaching clients?

Well, WE’RE HERE!

—-This morning on a call my client said these words to me after we got done setting up a process for her to have a strategic waiting list for new clients that want to get started and she really doesn’t actually have any time availability for yet but still wants to get locked in as clients.

Huge deal!

My Heart Might Have Just Exploded

My Heart Might Have Just Exploded

Do you ever have those moments where someone says something to you, or about you and it TOTALLY catches you off guard? Like in a good way, though. In a way that makes you sit back in your chair and go “WOW”… and your heart feels like it might burst?

Yeah, that just happened to me. And I wanted to share it with you;

“I reached out to Jamie 3 years ago with the idea of something I’d never heard of before, starting a coaching business for hairstylists.

I did NOT expect her response.

When I told her my idea, she said, “I don’t think you know how quickly you can make money doing that.”

Fast forward 3 years later, and we’ve built things I never even dreamed of when I made that first phone call.

What I’ve learned, is that the magic is in the mundane. It’s the consistency of the mindset work.  It’s the journaling, creating space for quiet and rest, and visualizing. The things we are “too busy” to do are actually the things that create everything we want.

Do it for a little while and it works… and that’s when most people stop.
Do it for a long time, and it creates the foundation for a life you wouldn’t even dream possible.
Do the things Jamie teaches, consistently and unwaveringly, and watch your whole life change.”

Reading those words that a private client of mine sent brings tears to my eyes and an immense amount of pride to my heart. It’s always great to see your work… work. And to see it change someone’s life is just icing on the cake.

Juggle

Juggle

Let’s be real, life is always a lot to juggle.

And sometimes trying to stay on top of it all just feels….impossible.

Then you add in all of the things that are happening in the world lately and it just makes it feel even bigger, even more daunting almost.

Learning how to navigate things in these new and different times hasn’t been easy for anyone, whether we care to admit it or not. Things are different. Intentions are different. Proactive behavior has become more necessary than ever and sometimes that feels like a mountain to climb. Continue reading “Juggle”

Trees

Trees
Since I was, well as long as I can remember actually… these trees have been in my dreams, in my visions, and ultimately seem to be a part of my soul. Perhaps a part of a story I already lived or a part of one yet to come.
My soul book will be written looking out on these trees, I’ve seen it very clearly several times.
My mind gym, the place I created while in a hypnotic state exists among these magical trees.

Unplug

Unplug

Unplug… I used to say “disconnect” but let’s be real… Disconnect? How NOT nourishing does that sound?!

The whole point of the act of turning everything off is to refill my cup, to rejuvenate, to reconnect with myself, my voice, my body, my soul. And how can you do that if you’re labeling the experience something so cold in the first place?

No wonder it was never working… And I had been trying the “disconnect” method for MONTHS with no change… So, disconnect went out the door and UNPLUG came in. Continue reading “Unplug”

Toxic Things

Toxic Things

“It wasn’t the toxic things I was putting in my body, it was the toxic STUFF I had in my life.” On one of the hangouts, I recently hosted, one of my clients made a comment about how when he met me his life was drastically different than it is now. Not only was he unhappy with where he was, he was on medication for severe heartburn and reflux issues. At the time, the doc told him it was the way he was eating so he changed his eating habits but the problem persisted so basically it looked like this was just going to be something he would deal with for life. Don’t Assume You Know Shit About Shit

Don’t Assume You Know Shit About Shit

Once upon a time, I made a choice to not talk about my relationship publicly as I was starting to grow my business online and here’s why;

Because I refused to use his name and status in this city as a means to get business.

Yep. I knew that he had hundreds of connections with the business community that could have benefited from my services and expertise and he would have GLADLY made the introductions but I didn’t want to be hired simply because I was “Tony Twist’s Girlfriend”. So, while the fact that we were in a relationship was in no way a secret, I chose not to exploit it because it was very important to me that I built my business and clientele based on MY own reputation and MY own ability. Not to mention that contrary to popular assumptions, I could care less about his hockey history. That’s never been a part of our relationship.

Flash forward 5 years or so and I just heard about someone still claiming that “He funds her life”. Continue reading “Don’t Assume You Know Shit About Shit”

It’s All Connected

It’s All Connected

When I started searching for a way that everything was connected, it all changed for me. I was told by others that every area of our lives impacts the other and I believed that to be true, but the way it was being taught to me didn’t FEEL connected. It was all very logical and like a single task list. It seemed to be more about checking things off the list every day than it did about being present, engaged, and feeling into all of the things that I was doing every day instead.

And while I am the Queen of Productivity, that still didn’t sit well with me. Doing things just to say I did them? Nope. Certainly didn’t feel in integrity to me, not even a little bit.

So I started searching for a way to take it all deeper. I started researching psychology, energy, vibration, intention, feeling. I went down the rabbit hole of discovering how everything really was connected, on a deeper level. On a soul-based level. On a level that changed the entire way, I operated in every area of my life. And I found it. Continue reading “It’s All Connected”
