Energy Exchange

Energy Exchange

More and more frequently I’ve found myself in conversations with various people from all different walks of life about things they’re noticing make them feel overly drained or zoned out.

One of my friends said “I always feel like I’m more dumb and a zombie after scrolling”.

I went on to explain to her how normal that actually is (these days at least) and how it’s actually a massive exchange of energy that’s happening that we’re really not recognizing, therefore not making different choices OR giving that action the space it deserves without draining the life out of you.

Delegation

Delegation

When your team becomes your family. ❤

It’s been such an interesting ride in building a virtual business these past 6 years. I remember when the thought of working with a coach or subcontractor that I’d never met before felt so foreign, or temporary.

Looking back I realize that due to the way I originally learned that business was “supposed” to be, that is where those beliefs came from.

“Good help is hard to find”
“Finding someone who is reliable is almost impossible”
“Sometimes you just need to find a warm body to fill the chair”

These are all things that I’m sure we’ve all heard a time or two when working in a management position or owning a business. These are things that we believe to be true because, well that’s what everyone says is true. Continue reading “Delegation”

Frazzled

Frazzled

We all get frazzled sometimes, overwhelmed.

Sometimes all of those plates you have spinning in the air can feel pretty damn daunting. And sometimes the responsibility of all of that and your purpose can feel heavy.

THAT’S OKAY.

You’re human.
Humans have feelings.
Humans get overwhelmed from time to time.

Trust me, coming from a girl who used to operate like a robot in a lot of ways and just avoid the feelings… it’s not worth it. It will always always always catch up with you at some point in one way or another. Continue reading “Frazzled”

Wednesdays

Wednesdays

“On Wednesdays we wear pink!”

No, I’m just kidding… Well, maybe sometimes I do but that’s not my point. While I was creating my latest podcast episode I just kept saying that in my head the entire time, haha. Insert your favorite Mean Girls quote here! Continue reading “Wednesdays”

Deciding Where To Invest Your Money

Deciding Where To Invest Your Money

Deciding to invest money in yourself is a strange kind of dance sometimes.

It’s usually a little scary (whether you care to admit it or not) and accompanied by thoughts or worries like “what if it doesn’t work?”

And the truth is, that question has nothing to do with the money, the coach, or education piece… and it has everything to do with YOU.

When you’re making an investment in a Coach, furthering your education, or growth, you’re ultimately investing in yourself.

You’re betting on your ability to follow through, your desire to learn and expand, your commitment to doing the work and showing up day after day.

Constant Game

Constant Game

Sometimes it’s a constant game of calling yourself out. Yep, every time you have a negative thought, or want to ignore a task, or find yourself going down the rabbit hole of fiction after making an assumption.

That work never stops. It’s something you have to actively change, address, and improve on.

Does it get easier? Yes. Continue reading “Constant Game”

Overspent Energy

Overspent Energy

**Originally Published January 24th, 2020**

I overspent my energy this week.

It doesn’t mean I overbooked or was too “busy” because that is actually a very different thing.

A while back my therapist told me about how she plans her week, which of course being the planner enthusiast that I am, I was all ears for some insight on how someone else does it. One thing that she explained is how she budgets her energy between the different responsibilities she has. Meaning she determined how many clients she was going to see that week/day based on the other obligations or activities she was going to have as well. She wanted to make sure she wasn’t spending all of her allotted energy on work, leaving an empty tank for her family when she got home. Continue reading “Overspent Energy”

Being Present

Being Present

You owe it to yourself… and everyone else in your life.

In a world where we’re always connected and plugged in, being present is something we really need to make a priority.

In episode 4 of my podcast we go deeper into the conversation of how to turn off the auto-response, to stop going through the motions, and instead begin to live as an active member of your life.  Continue reading “Being Present”

The Method To My Madness

The Method To My Madness

*Originally posted October 13th, 2019

When it’s your lifestyle, it never “turns off”. It simply is your way of being.

You can be present and still have the habit of stopping what you’re doing to write a post when something pops into your mind.

You can still relax and remember to take a photo that you intend on posting for your brand.

It’s not made up. It’s not like you’re pretending, not even a little bit, actually. It just becomes a part of the way you live your life. So much so that you don’t even have to think about it. It just becomes a natural thing you do.

It’s something you have to make space for at first. As you’re learning to balance things a little differently than you’ve ever known before in order to make this freedom based lifestyle your reality, you have to start making space to pay attention. Space to notice the little things. Space to be present. Space to hear the messages you’re meant to hear and in turn share what you’re meant to share. Continue reading “The Method To My Madness”
