NEWSFLASH: You’re allowed to feel pretty and you’re allowed to share a photo of yourself that you like simply because you like it.

It doesn’t have to meet anyone’s standards or fit within the guidelines of what anyone else thinks is appropriate.

It’s your life.
It’s your body.
You can be smart
and strong
and successful
and a massive boss
all while still being sexy
and sassy
and sweet
and inspirational
and motivating
and humble
and confident
and passionate
and calm.

All. At. The. Same. Time.

You don’t have to trade one for the other, EVER.

Be you.
All of you.
All the time.
And don’t let anyone stop you or make you feel like you need to turn it down or hide any part of what makes you uniquely YOU.

Be kind.
Be you.
Be compassionate.
Be the change you wish to see in this world and I don’t know about you but I wish to see a world where no one labels you simply because of the way you look. End of story.

So you can look at this photo and get angry, Or roll your eyes and think I’m looking for attention, Or think I’m a slut, Or think I must not be that smart if I’m sharing this image (all of which are assumptions that are direct reflections of your own insecurities or closed mindedness).

OR you can choose to read the caption before you pass judgement or stereotype and maybe open your eyes a little to a different perspective.

Maybe you choose to praise the fact that this photo means something to me and I’m proud of it, as I should be, so I shared it.

Seeing other people shine should make you happy.
Seeing other people win should make you shine.

And if it doesn’t, please spend more time looking inward and healing whatever part of you is causing you to look for some thing to be wrong in everyone and everything else. You owe it to yourself to let go of whatever that thing is so you can start focusing on the good.

Because everyone deserves just that, More Good.
